Dear Phantom Dog,\n I apologize as I have many who write, here. I tried yet the sound is the sound. My only advise is set speakers on low bass, high treble. Some, a few, have equalizers on-board their computer systems. For those who do not I tell of the speaker adjustments. I got rid of the O/S. I changed the sound card. I added memory. I changed the mother board. I use different mikes and threw away mike-headphone combos. I apologize as the sound is what it is. I can advise a free download called Comet Player. Do the custom installation, please. Do not allow it add anything for attachments, at all! Using this I can adjust any recording. I find it makes good, decent sound.
