Synesthesia

January 2017's Patreon-funded free file is an exploration of synesthesia: cross-sensory experiences, such as hearing colors or seeing sounds. There are a lot of possible synesthetic experiences, but it turns out that it is often relatively easy to induce interesting experiences hypnotically by simply asking the subject to have an apparently-impossible experience. The subject's subconscious mind then finds some way to interpret that suggestion, and the results are different for every subject.
 
 
This file is also something of an exploration of ASMR-- another whole category of strange sensory experiences that some people are prone to. There's a background whisper track recorded using 3D sound (a stereo recording using microphones placed in the ears of a dummy head which I whispered to-- your brain can perceive tiny differences in how the head changes the sound around it, the same way your own head would, and it makes a much more immersive recording than a more usual stereo track recorded with a mic in open air).Check out my Patreon page at www.patreon.com/Chewtoy, and my other work at www.gentlybitten.com!
